Mrs. Betrayed

I discovered some emails to my husband from another woman and emails he sent to her. He claims these emails are a type of spam and not anything he sent, including the emails sent by her. I do not believe him but he is sticking to this pathetic story. Is this possible? By the way, this woman is a friend of his.
