A LOVE TO CALL MY OWN

I KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING, THAT YOU WERE JUST A FLIRT,
BUT YET I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU,KNOWING THAT ID BE HURT.

I TRIED TO TIE YOU DOWN, AND MAKE YOU LOVE JUST ONE,
BUT HOW COULD I DO SOMETHING, NO ONE HAS EVER DONE.

I KNEW YOU NEVER LOVED ME, AND IM TRYING NOT TO CRY,
BUT I MUST FIND THE STRENGTH SOMEHOW, TO KISS YOUR LIPS GOOD-BYE.

WHEN YOU ASK FOR ME AGAIN, YOULL FIND I WONT BE THERE,
I WANT A LOVE TO CALL MY OWN, NOT ONE I HAVE TO SHARE.

I REMEMBERED THIS POEM WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD, I AM NOW 41! FUNNY HOW ONE DAY I ACUALLY HAD TO USE IT FOR MY OWN EXPERIENCES IN LIFE!!
