I never thought of him as a cheater....

I have been with him for 12 years, he just came back from africa 4 weeks ago, he was there for a month.. we spoke all day an night.. he's a very religious man. anyway.. he started complaining of burning when going wee an then he got discharge, he went the dr and then my discharge started, so he brought both of us to the hospital, they did tests on us on monday last they rang me on Thursday to say i have Gnooreah.... we've argued he said it was me, it was 10000000% not me...
i never thought of him as a cheater never had any signs or gut feelings
i don't know what to do???? im absolutely destroyed, floored and shocked...
Would there be any other explanations as the hygiene and sanitation in africa is totally 3/4 th world!!??? ;(
