Shattered Trust

The pain of lies
The web of tales
Has brought me to my knees
I never thought I’d feel this hurt that you bestowed on me
I trusted you for all those years
Believed you were my mate
But sadly you became that guy
I only want to hate
You gave your time, yourself, your wit
To a girl of 25
Innuendos, banter, sexual junk
How do we now go on?
Deception shook me to the core
When quizzed you balked and lied
Caught with the written proof in hand
I looked at you and took a stand
No longer anywhere to run,
From me, yourself, or anyone
Will we survive this marriage trial
Only time will say
Forgive perhaps-begin anew
Forget-so sad-NO WAY!
